Some Specifics
September 12th Tampa Chapter Compatriot David Whipkey will be
speaking in person on “Why Did they Come to the Colonies, Why Did they Leave
Their Homelands?” The reason why migration took place. He will be discussing
several of his ancestors that came to America from 1730s to 1750s.
October 10th Mr. Steven W. Hill, will be presenting virtually his
book “Battle Flags of the Wars for North America, 1754-1783”. His discussion
will cover the regimental flags of the major combatants in the two major wars
for North American in the eighteenth century—flags carried by regiments from
Britain, France, Germany, and Spain. This has long been a subject surrounded by
myth, legend, and inaccuracy; the last “standard” work is more than forty years
old. You can purchase his book from Amazon.
November 14th Our guest speaker will be Mr. Richard Wilder
in-person. He is a member of the Florida Buffalo Soldiers Association. He will
be speaking on the Buffalo Soldiers Regiments.
